Kenyan entrepreneur and media mogul Chris Kirubi is dead. Kirubi’s family confirmed his demise this afternoon.
Kirubi, 80, has been battling colon cancer for years. The entrepreneur owns a swath of businesses ranging from Centum PLC, Capital Group LTD, and Nairobi Bottlers LTD among others.
Following the news of his demise, friends have taken to social media to show solidarity with his family. Politicians have also taken to their social media handles to give tribute to the fallen entrepreneur.
Musalia Mudavadi, a Kenyan politician has taken to Twitter where he has written nothing but kind words in tribute to Chris Kirubi. He has termed him to have been a great patriot who didn’t do the business of sugar-coating facts.
“My condolences to the family of the late Chris Kirubi.He was an illustrious businessman who spoke candidly on matters of national importance,and the economy.A true patriot who told you as it is; without blinking. Over and above he as witty,humourous and an avid golfer.”
This morning, Chris had taken to Twitter and wrote a Tweet in which he encouraged people to go for success and wished good tidings to netizens. Kenyans are appalled by the news of his demise especially after his tweet.
