At 7:30 AM today, an aircraft belonging to Yellow Wings Air Services, crash-landed at Mashuru area, Kajiado County. The light aircraft, Cessna 206, enroute Amboseli National Park had three passengers, tourists and a pilot on board. The four identified as Pilot Peter Almendinger, Russell, Paris and Susan escaped the accident with minor bruises.
The cause of the crash is said to have been an engine complication that it might have developed before the crash. The plane had a broken nose wheel that may have been caused by the impact to the ground when it landed.

Sub County deputy commissioner, Stephen Nyakundi, was among the first people to arrive at the scene and assured that the passengers and the pilot were ok and were airlifted for treatment in Nairobi an hour later after the crash.
