Is Ali Kiba’s Mshumaa dedicated to his wife?

Prolific Tanzanian artiste Ali Kiba has released a new love song, Mshumaa, which sounds like a dedication to his wife.

Kiba released the song yesterday and it has been receiving massive airplay from radio stations. It has also racked almost 0.5 million views on YouTube and is among the top trending songs in Tanzania.

The musician, who has been feuding with Diamond Platinumz, passes a love message to an estranged lover. Ali Kiba’s marriage has been on the rocks for a while now, and this song seems to be dedicated to his wife, telling her that his life is topsy-turvy without her.

“Hata ngoma sina, pressure sina, ugonjwa sina, jina lako ninalo, uwepo wako ndo ulikuwa wangu uzima mi naona giza giza totoro” ( I don’t have HIV, nor pressure, or any other sickness, all I have is your name in my memories, as your presence was the light of my life, all I see now is total darkness” reads part of the lyrics.

The video is simple, with no crazy dancing styles and helps deliver the message to the lover. You can watch the video here.

Kiba released the song while launching his Unforgettable Tour that promises to be a counter to Wasafi Festival. During the press briefing, Ali also introduced a new artiste joining his King’s Music record label, Tommy Flavor.

The Unforgetable Tour will not be about music only. Kiba plans to launch several career-building projects with local students in colleges and universities. Besides, he is working with the ministry of health and tourism.
